Pet Adoption

The following is a listing of all animals currently available for adoption.

Hi, my name is Presley!
I am a brindle boxer/terrier mix, approximately 2 years old and I weigh in at a slim 50 pounds. When I was found, I was in need of some major help after living on the street for an extended period of time. Since my rescue, I have undergone Heartworm Treatment and all my many wounds from being hit by a car have healed up. I have been spayed and microchipped and ready to go to a new home. I enjoy walks and lots of playtime, so a back yard is a must.

If you are interested in meeting with me or wanting to schedule a play date please call Central Houston Animal Hospital at 713-526-1306!

This is Pepper.  She is an adorable papillon mix that was found running in memorial park a few weeks ago.  She is vaccinated and will be spayed this week. She loves everyone and would be a great addition to any home!

She was rescued from a feral colony of cat. She is a beautiful unique orange female that is 5 months old. Sunny is spay and vaccinated and ready to go to a new home.

Hi, my name is Penny!
I was abandoned outside of a Chinese Resturant downtown a few weeks ago. A very kind man was nice enough to bring me to Central Houston Animal Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately the man who found me was financially unable to take care of me himself. I am an adorable brown and white Pit Bull mix with a great and loving personality. I can be a little weary of new places at first, but once I warm up to my new surroundings, I am very playful and energetic girl! I would preferably need to be in a home with no cats. If you are interested in meeting with me or wanting to schedule a play date please call Central Houston Animal Hospital at 713-526-1306!

Here is little 18-pound Jose. A little Corgi/Chihuahua mix, roughly 11-months old and was found wondering the streets with his brother, Carlos. He was rescued by one of our clients, a wonderful fellow dog rescuer. Jose is looking for forever home. He is vaccinated and ready to go. Please contact Dr. Lucy Faulkner with any questions about him.

This is Perry, she is roughly 10 months old, spayed and fully vaccinated and about 28 pounds. She had a broken forelimb that has been surgically repaired and will soon be ready for her new home!

Bella aka Blue **RECENTLY ADOPTED**

Lovey is a sweet domino-colored Terrier/Dachshund mix. She was rescued after being abandoned on the street by her former owners. As a 15 lb. lap dog, Lovey enjoys being carried around, but she's also good on a leash. She's housebroken, fully vetted, heartworm negative and soon to be spayed. You can see more pictures of Lovey here, and for inquires contact Linda via email, or via phone at 832-693-3400

Sweet puppy love in a wavy black coat! Bean is the king of tail wagging and he loves to give you puppy kisses. At 10 months, Bean has years and years to spend with you. He'd love to help you water the azaleas or rake the leaves in the fall, and he would be a hit on the patio at Starbucks. Bean won't be a big dog, so he's the perfect size to tuck in your car and gad about town! Once Bean realized he was out of the shelter and on his way to the good life, his personality began to shine! If you would like to meet this cute boy, contact the clinic and we'll set up a blind date for you!

Here is little 16-pound Carlos. A little Corgi/Chihuahua mix, roughly 11-months old and was found wondering the streets with his brother, Jose. He is full of energy and needs a place to run and call home. He is vaccinated and ready to go

Pub is a six year old male neutered lab mix that was found at Sherlocks Pub a few years ago. He was treated for heartworms and has been in good health ever since. He has had such bad luck with adoptive homes and is really in need of a place to be comfortable and enjoy himself. He loves to go on walks or just lounge on the couch. He would be best suited for an adult only home with no kitties or small dogs.

This little girl is a super sweet pup. She was rescued from BARC with bite wounds and a broken jaw after being attacked by larger dogs. She is spayed, vaccinated and is in need of a foster or permanent home.

Our Hospital strives to aid in Houston's staggering problem of unwanted pets and pet overpopulation.

We work with several area rescue groups by helping orphaned, abandoned or abused pets recuperate and become healthy members of a new family.

Sometimes our clinic will care for pets that are found by staff members or good Samaritans. These pets will receive the following treatments before becoming available for adoption:

  • Medical treatment as needed
  • Intestinal parasite and heartworm testing
  • Full set of vaccines
  • Spaying or Neutering
  • HomeAgain Microchipping
  • General obedience training

In addition, we work with several area rescue groups on their medical needs.

These include:
